BRADY GARDEN Open Day Summer Gathering

The Open Day and sharing of food and informal events for the local community. The Brady Garden has been run by dedicated volunteers and artists from the community and local area. Volunteers meet once a month to look after the garden working in partnership with Tower Hamlets and Brady Centre. Tamarind were proud to support the event of informal readings, stories and food.

In the past projects have been run with support from artist and actisvist such a Saif Osmani and originally began by Shara Ismail. Many families as well as young people, mother and children groups have attend workshops and gardening training days to learn about biodiversity. Planting, herbs and nutrition and bees and insects and variety of plants.

There has also been a project by Brady Garden which explored enviroment, Islamic gardens and making mosaics in the summer holidays as part of encouraging young people taking greater interest and pride in their local area and mental well-being. Also activities such as public open days and bbq and music and story performances. Past events have brought different communities together and we have learn about the incredible talent and skills with in our wonderful communities.
